Applicants are required to come in person to the Consular Section, High Commission of India, Kingston Jamaica from Monday to Friday between 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with the applications properly filled out in advance.

1.Attestation of Power of Attorney

  • Completed Miscellaneous services Application form (https://hcikingston.gov.in/public_files/assets/pdf/miscellaneous.pdf) dully filled up, signed and pasted with a photo.

  • Two photographs size (2*2 cms), in color with white Background.

  • Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and passport officer´s observation (s) if any.

  • Original and copy of legal Residence in Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands and BVI.

  • Copy of Proof of address (Utility bill, driver license) or lease agreement with a copy of landlord’s Id.

  • Original Letter of Employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the company addressed to the Consular Officer, High Commission of India, Kingston,    stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s registration with TRN.

  • Power of Attorney in duplicate.

Fee:  US$-27. 

Please note that the fee is for each signature and stamp of the Consular Officer.

 NOTE: All the pages of the Power of Attorney have to be signed by the applicant, photograph must be pasted as required and signed across. POA is to be signed by the applicant before the Consular Officer. High Commission of India does not prescribe any specific format/type of paper for Power of Attorney document.  The same should be as per your requirements, whether plain paper or Indian Stamp Paper. The person (s) signing the Power of Attorney must present himself/herself at the Counter.

2.  Police Clearance Certificate

PCC is issued based on the records available about the applicant in the online passport system.

A clearance is required from authorities in India by making reference to the place of permanent residence of the applicant and such verification may take up to 4-8 weeks.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Completed PCC Application form (https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in)dully filled up, signed and pasted with a photo.

  • Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background.

  • Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and passport officer´s observation (s) if any.

  • Original and copy of legal Residence in Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands and BVI.

  • Copy of Proof of address (Utility bill, driver license) or lease agreement with a copy of landlord’s Id.

3. Registration of Death

  • Completed Miscellaneous services Application form (https://hcikingston.gov.in/public_files/assets/pdf/Misc_App_Form_03Feb2023.pdf) dully filled up by the informant, signed and pasted with a photo.

  • Copy of passport of the informant.

  • Original Indian passport, which is to be cancelled and returned to the person in charge of repatriation of human remains.

  • Original Certificate of death.

  • Autopsy Report.

  • Burial order from coroner.

  • Burial cum release of body- order from funeral home.

  • Embalming certificate form funeral home.

  • Embalming report from funeral home.

  • Certificate from local govt. health services authority reg. body being free from communicable diseases.

Documents to be authenticated by the mission, to be sent with the body.

  • Five original death certificates for use in India

  • Certificate of Registration of Death issued by HCI.

  • Original PPT duly cancelled by HCI.

  • Service Fee:  GRATIS

4. Life Certificate

  • Life Certificate (Click here)

  • Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and passport officer´s observation (s) if any.

  • If applicant holds a foreign nationality, copy of OCI/PIO card or Renunciation Certificate of   Indian Nationality and Indian passport.

  • Original and copy of legal Residence in Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands and BVI.

  • Copy of Proof of address (Utility bill, driver license) or lease agreement with a copy of landlord’s Id.

  • Copy of the Pension document.

Service Fee:  GRATIS .

5. Birth Certificate as per Passport.

  • Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled up, signed and pasted with a photo.

  • Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background.

6.  NRI Certificate

7. Emergency Certificate

  • Applicants are required to fill online application form at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and carry a printout of the filled in application form.  

  • Copy of Final Exit or Letter from sponsor undertaking to
    get exit visa issued (not required for those on visit visa). 

  • Copy of Passport and Original Passport if available.

  • Recent passport size photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch with white background.  

  • Note:- Applications for issue of Emergency Certificate are accepted in the High Commission of India, Kingston between 0830 - 1230 hrs. (Monday to Thursday)

Fee: US$- 17.

8. Consular Services - includes Attestations of documents and sponsorships
